Если при создании снапшота возникает подобная проблема:

• Creating a snapshot of a virtual machine fails.
• You see the error:
  
  Invalid virtual machine configuration
  
• After restarting the management agents, the virtual machine goes into an invalid state.
• The *.vmsd file has no relevant data in it.
• The vmware.log contains entries similar to:
  
  May 27 05:21:02.872: vmx| SNAPSHOT: SnapshotConfigInfoRead: Unable to load dict from '/vmfs/volumes/6a2956d6-c9e137d1/xibo/xibo.vmsd'.
  May 27 05:21:02.873: vmx| SNAPSHOT: SnapshotConfigInfoRead failed for file 'xibo.vmx': Dictionary problem (6)

то поможет следующее:

1. 1. Rename the *.vmsd file to *.vmsd.old
   2. Restart the management agents. For more information, see Restarting the Management agents on an ESX or ESXi Server (1003490).
   3. Create snapshot of the virtual machine.

SFCB Authentication Flaw may be introduced by the ESXi 4.1 Update Installer

Under certain conditions, the ESXi 4.1 installer that upgrades an ESXi 3.5 or ESXi 4.0 host to ESXi 4.1 incorrectly handles the SFCB authentication mode . The result is that SFCB authentication could allow login with any username and password combination.

An ESXi 4.1 host is affected if all of the following apply:

•     ESXi 4.1 was upgraded from ESXi 3.5 or ESXi 4.0
•     The SFCB configuration file /etc/sfcb/sfcb.cfg was modified prior to the upgrade.
  
•     The sfcbd daemon is running (sfcbd runs by default).

The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the name CVE-2010-4573 to this issue.

Verify that your deployment of ESX 4.1 is affected as follows:

1. Log in to your ESXi 4.1 host using Tech Support mode as described in Using Tech Support Mode in ESXi 4.1 (KB 1017910).
2. Open /etc/sfcb/sfcb.cfg
3. Find the line with basicAuthLib, your deployment of ESX 4.1 is affected if the value for the parameter is basicAuthLib: sfcBasicAuthentication. Your system is not affected if the value for the parameter is listed as sfcBasicPAMAuthentication.

Qubes OS Beta 1.

Короткое видео про установку Qubes OS Beta 1
Если ранее нужно было действовать по длинному мануалу, то теперь установка занимает 15 минут. Если будет решена проблема с поддержкой видео, то можно даже на ноутбуке нормально работать(Intel GPU strongly preferred (if you have Nvidia GPU, prepare for some troubleshooting; we haven't tested ATI hardware))

Тут можно оценить быстродействие (тестировал на обычном e8400+4gb ram):


Получилось несколько замылено в некоторых местах, но терпимо.
